Edson Hill - Stowe, VT
It has been a dream of mine to stay at Edson Hill for several years now, and my dream finally came true this winter. Ever since I stopped by the beautiful, 38 acre property, complete with manor house, trails, cottages, and a fine dining restaurant on afternoon on a trip to Stowe, I was excited about the idea of potentially staying there one day. My expectations were high going in, and were met above-and-beyond all the way through the stay!
This special property feels like you are enjoying a relaxing spa in the snow. The grounds are peaceful, with views stretching for miles out to the mountains. The rooms are bright and calming, and many have wood burning fireplaces, so you can enjoy a warm fire after a day of outdoor fun in the cold! And their famous restaurant and tavern are cozy and quiet…a little slice of heaven in the backwoods of Vermont!
Across the property are x-country ski and snowshoe trails, and there is a Nordic Center on sight where you can rent any equipment you need! About 15 minutes away is the beautiful Stowe Mountain Village, where you can access some of the best skiing and snowboarding in the Northeast! It’s a winter-lovers paradise in Stowe, and Edson Hill is situated perfectly in the middle of it!
I was sad to say goodbye after 2 of the most relaxing nights ever, but I felt honored to have been able to enjoy this gem of Vermont. Thank you Edson Hill for the lovely stay, I will always remember it fondly!
