Our Honeymoon in the Mountains

After months of craziness, wedding planning, work, and everything in between, Joseph and I were looking forward to a quiet, relaxing honeymoon. A little getaway with just the two of us was exactly what we needed.

After the beautiful wedding with all our close friends and family, Joseph and I took off for the Running Springs, where we had rented a small Airbnb cabin. We had been torn between staying in the desert, or staying in the mountains, but we eventually settled on the mountains and it turned out to be a great choice! I can’t tell you how wonderfully relaxing and peaceful it was amongst the pine trees and the cozy cabins.

Our Airbnb was a cute, updated vintage cabin, and was the coziest thing ever! We both mused about the fun idea of one day owning a cabin of our own, we just loved it so much! All the little touches in the house were the perfect blend of modern and classic, from the farmhouse sink and vintage range, to the boucle chair and sleek shower.

We spent the whole 5 days doing absolutely nothing but laying around in bed, eating comfort food, and watching “The Office”. We ventured out of doors for a couple hikes, including our wedding portrait session on a mountain peak that I hiked up to in my wedding dress…so fun!

All in all it was the best time, and Joseph and I are do excited about finally being married to each other and our lives ahead!
