Spruce point Inn
Nestled down the coast of Maine, in Boothbay Harbor, is a cozy, old world inn overlooking the water. The Spruce Point Inn is reminiscent of the old Kennedy photos at the compound on Cape Cod. The family summer camp vibes were everywhere at the Inn, and the location is perfectly situated for it!
Our room was in the historic inn, and overlooked the water. It was a beautiful, old fashioned, beach-ey room that gave me all the vibes. I LOVED it!
The Spruce Point Inn has its own dock, with paddle boards and ocean kayaks for guests to use. They even have their own boat at the Inn, the Bright Line, which takes guests out on regular harbor tours, and on trips into town. While we were there, the fog was heavy, so the harbor tours were not running, but the boat and its captain took us to and from town along the edge of the coast, so we could get our time on the water.
Just behind the Inn are many beautiful trails through the woods. We wandered the pine trees in the mist, and everything smelled earthy, like moss.
There is a rec hall, tennis courts, and swimming pools, including one right on the water with views-for-days out to the Atlantic. There are endless activities on property, you will never feel the need to leave during your whole stay!
The Inn also boasts delicious spots for food, including the newly renovated main dining room, and the delicious Salty Stag, where we had the most incredible dinners. They also have a deck overlooking the water, perfect for an evening cocktail. Around the back you will find the fire pit where you can roast up s’mores with interesting flavored marshmallows homemade at the Inn!
Everything about this place was relaxing…it was quiet, clean, and there were endless chairs on the lawn to sit and listen to the ocean waves. Our time there was incredible, and we are dying to go back again!
A HUGE “Thank You” to the Spruce Point Inn for the incredible stay, it was so memorable, relaxing, and lovely.
