The Most Beautiful AirBnB in Vermont - White Doe Farm

“Vermont should be beautiful this time of year…all that snow…”. The classic line from White Christmas is all you can think about when you pull up to the gorgeous White Doe Farm, blanketed in snow, and looking perfectly Christmasy and cozy. This 1800s era farmhouse is a brand new airbnb rental, and has been beautifully restored to its former glory, and beyond! Sitting on 10 acres in the rural countryside of Rupert, VT, the farmhouse, and its surrounding barns and outbuildings, is a lovely sight to behold.

We had a fabulous 2-night stay, and wished it were 10 nights! Everything about the farmhouse was perfect. It has 4 bedrooms, 3 baths, a large kitchen, a sunroom, and the coziest, dark blue living room you could wish for. Before our arrival, the owners decorated the whole place for Christmas, from candles in the windows, to a stately tree in the living room corner.

We spent our days wandering the fields, visiting the adorable cows on property, and cozying up in front of the living room fireplace. It was magic. My favorite moments were watching “The Crown” with hot chocolate in the evening, with the Christmas Tree lights twinkling in the dark corner of the living room, and the fire crackling away in the hearth.

My favorite corner of the house had to be the little mudroom off the downstairs bedroom. It felt like a little slice of the English countryside, perfectly fitting rows of Barbour jackets and wellington boots. I took notes for my future home, of course!

About 10 minutes from the house is downtown Dorset, one of the most scenic towns in all of Vermont. Only another 10 minutes from there is the much more bustling downtown of Manchester. Manchester is full of shops, restaurants, and fun spots such as a Land Rover off-roading school, and a fly-fishing school and museum. Needless to say, White Doe Farm is situated perfectly for a great week-long getaway!

Our last morning, there was movie-style snow wafting from the skies, and we watched it from the breakfast nook while drinking mulled cider. It was hard to say goodbye to this amazing place. I hope to go back one day, and will always remember the wonderful time we spent there. A HUGE thank you to White Doe Farm for the incredible stay!
