Easy & Delicious Hot Chocolate Recipe

Everyone who knows me well, and even those who don’t, know I LOVE hot chocolate. I grew up on Nestle hot cocoa packets mixed with water, but as I got older, I became more obsessed with real hot chocolate, and started making my own from scratch. I am not a coffee drinker, so I drink hot chocolate instead. It’s hard to find a good hot chocolate at restaurants and coffee shops, but this simple, easy recipe, you can make at home, and will be 10x better than the ones you can buy!

Easy & Delicious Hot Chocolate

This recipe has been tested for years, and is the perfect simple, yet real and delicious hot chocolate. It was created to make an incredible hot chocolate with minimal work and cleanup.

INGREDIENTS:

1 Mug Full of Whole Milk

Pinch of Kosher Salt

Splash of Vanilla Extract

4T of Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips

1 Pump of Monin Salted Caramel Syrup

DIRECTIONS:

Fill the mug you are going to use with your milk, till it is about 1 inch from the top of the mug. Pour the milk into a small saucepan with salt and vanilla extract. Heat over a medium/low heat until it is almost to the point of a boil.

In the meantime, put the chocolate chips and the salted caramel syrup in the bottom of your mug. Once the milk mixture is hot enough, pour into the mug, over the chocolate chips. Let sit for a minute, and then, with a small whisk, whisk together briskly. A brisk whisking is key to getting the chocolate chips to dissolve completely and give you a creamy hot chocolate (but be careful not to slosh any hot liquid onto yourself!). ENJOY!
