Travel Guide to Stowe, Vermont
Tucked away in northern-most Vermont is the small, Alpine-inspired town of Stowe. The Von Trapp Family built their lodge there, and the style took off. Cabins and motels were built with an alpine twist, and now the whole town is a blend of the New England countryside and quaint Austrian chalets. It’s a whimsical, little place.
More than that, Stowe really is New England’s winter playground. The ski resort at Stowe is top-notch, spread over 3 peaks, and absolutely gorgeous! It’s a skiers paradise. If you don’t ski or snowboard, all across the area are many different, fun, winter activities for you to try.
