MARBLEHEAD, MA

MARBLEHEAD, MASSACHUSETTS TRAVEL GUIDE | November typically isn’t the time I think about visiting the coast. I usually retreat inland to the mountains or the farms, where everything is quaint, cabin-y, and cozy…but I got the opportunity to visit Marblehead, MA this month, and everything changed! The seaside in the fall is magical!

My sister and I stayed overnight at the Hotel Marblehead, a beautiful, restored mansion, now hotel, conveniently located right next to the heart of the town. The hotel was gorgeous, and we had the perfect front corner room overlooking the driveway covered in fresh fallen leaves.

We spend our time strolling through the rain, around the historic streets lined with old homes and beautiful store fronts. We popped into all the shops, and ate a delightful lunch at the Mugford Eatery, right across the street the Old Town House. My favorite shop in town is FL Woods Nautical Merchants (no surprise there), which, at that time of year was full of chunky fisherman’s sweaters, wooly mittens, and wellies galore!

After wandering through the old neighborhood, we ended up by the harbor, watching the fisherman unload the morning’s catch. It was a great afternoon!

Thanks Hotel Marblehead for the beautiful stay!
