I confess now, I have never been on a cruise. For sure I feel behind the times, but the opportunity or thought of it never really comes up whenever I plan travel. I’d love to do a transatlantic crossing one day, but a cruise has never called me…yet. But boy, oh boy, has my life been forever changed since I spent a few days traveling on the water this summer.

Just outside of New England, and across a lake, are the beautiful Adirondack Mountains! I love how accessible they are, and how full of beautiful pine trees and rustic cabins. What strikes me is even though you are only an hour or two away from Vermont, you feel in a completely different place.
